The Selkirk Boomstik Elongated 16mm is a foam-core power paddle that feels dense and stable through contact — the ball doesn't shoot off unpredictably, it comes off with pace that matches what you put in. Spin is legitimately strong, surface texture holds up longer than most carbon faces, and the perimeter weighting keeps mishits from twisting on you in ways that a lot of elongated paddles don't handle well. The soft game is workable but this isn't where the paddle lives — resets require deliberate hands and dinking is functional, not comfortable. At 8.22 ounces with a swing weight in the 70th percentile, it's not a light paddle, and you feel that in extended net exchanges.
