
The X is a weapon if you can move it. It's heavy—123 swing weight—and demands speed through the zone. When you time it right and accelerate fully, serves and drives come off hard and the diced core snaps back with real force. When you don't, it feels slow and punishes you. The sweet spot is average and mishits fall apart faster than the other shapes. You must find the center. It absorbs pace well on defense, that plush damping doing its work, but you trade the crisp feel for it. I added three grams per side and it helped—more forgiveness, fewer bad misses—but it made the paddle heavier still. This is for players who already know heavy elongated paddles and want maximum power. If you cannot move it or want easy pop, it will not work.
